IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING.....

Do you accept insurance?

At this time we do not accept insurance.  We accept cash, credit card, and HSA/FSA due at the time of service. No Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance is accepted.  We are considered Out-of-Network with all insurance providers.  You may choose to submit a Superbill (medical receipt) to your insurance for reimbursement from your out-of-network benefits.  If you wish to do this, please let us know ahead of time and we will provide a monthly invoice to you for submission.  The invoice will include date of service, diagnosis, treatment codes, session times, fees paid, and a description of services provided.

Please call your insurance company if you wish to submit an invoice for out-of-network benefits and ask the following questions:

1. Does my policy cover a licensed speech-language pathologist who is out-of-network?

2.  (If yes to #1) My speech pathologist provides session dates, CPT codes, diagnosis, and fees paid.  Is there any other information that you need?

3.  What percent of the allowed amount will you cover?

4. What is my out-of-network deductible?

5. Does my policy cover charges for missed or cancelled sessions?

What are the benefits of private pay for therapy?

You are in control of the frequency and duration of your child's speech therapy. This decision is based on what is in the best interest of your child, not on an insurance company's policy.

If you have a high deductible,  your payments can often be much higher than private pay rates, so you'll be paying more out of pocket, initially. Depending on how high your deductible is, it may make more financial sense to go with private pay to maximize the number of sessions your child can receive before reaching your deductible.

Some insurance policies only cover certain medical conditions or diagnoses, so your child may not be eligible for services, according to your insurance company.

Private fees reflect more time spent with clients and planning for their sessions -- not dealing with insurance companies and their rules and regulations. We are able to take a much more personalized approach to each client's needs.

You can use your HSA/FSA funds for speech therapy costs. This is a great option that gives you the flexibility and freedom of private pay services without paying out-of-pocket.

You can also submit Superbills to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for services (depending on your plan's Out-Of-Network speech therapy coverage.). Again, this gives you the flexibility and freedom of private pay services without losing out on at least some insurance coverage.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations/No Show: Please call at least 12 hours in advance to cancel your appointment.  We reserve the right to charge a $25 cancellation/no show fee if you do not give us this 12 hour notice or do not show up to your scheduled appointment.

Missed Appointments: If you cancel or do not show up for 3 sessions in a row, services will be on hold until scheduling problems are resolved.  If no contact is made for 3 weeks, your child will be discharged from all services by written notification mailed to the address on file.

Late for Appointment: If you are late to your scheduled appointment, the therapy session will end at the regular time and you will be charged for the full session amount.

Clinician Cancellation: If we are unable to meet at our scheduled time, we will contact you as soon as possible and every effort will be made to reschedule the appointment for the same week at a different day and time, to make up the missed session.

What if my child did not qualify for speech services in the public school setting?

Eligibility for services through a school district are much different than in a clinical setting. In a school setting, children need to qualify for services and must have what is known as an “adverse educational impact”. Children also generally require a poor response to intervention as measured by data collection, poor grades, and a team consensus that a child meets the criteria for Special Education.  In a clinical setting, we are able to provide services that your child may need regardless of school eligibility.
